In 2017 Merav Ezer was approached by Jessica Dawson and Mica scalin to create a piece for their upcoming dogumenta show at Brookfeild place in downtown Manhattan. dogumenta was to be the first ever show to address the artistic sensibility of the canine population with Jessica’s Dog Rocky at the curator’s chair. Merav’s design principal for this project was communication and the ‘Barking project’ was born.

The show was a massive success among dogs and human alike and curators Jessica, Mica, Rocky approached Merav again to create an original art work for dogs.

Enter TOM, the first-ever artwork made exclusively for the canine collector, allows pups to live alongside an important artwork and build a collection just as their human companions do. Check out artnet coverage

ROYAL FLUSH is a guide to our visual world in limited edition full color images. Created in our studio in Brooklyn, New York and around the world, it defies specifics and aims to work as an associative visual poem from cover to cover, a streaming of consciousness of Spicy pop if you will. Its fun, naughty and entertaining.

Get yours today, its tasty.

On the same note, supporting independent publishing and independent book stores everywhere is vital these days. So we encourage you to support them actively. Go there, pull a book or a magazine, enlighten yourself and help by making a purchase :)

The magazine is available in both store locations.

Anyway, check it out and if you read french please consider translating key parts and emailing it to studio@acoupleofartists.org

Mini doc of the work in window@125 at the Roger Smith Hotel

“The physical limitations of this space neatly confine the meal and its diners to their seats, their moment, their task at hand. As we watch them slowly consume, their physical interactions might be a choreographed dance. A few sentences repeat on screen creating a zen-like poem, reminding us that this is an ordinary occurrence, both a mirror of the one repeated by so many individuals daily and a completely special shared moment in time.”
